Saturday, 22 October 2022: Guardians of the Galaxy

After getting home very late last night, we’re sleeping in a bit today. After all, we only have one event planned today: an immersive cinema experience by Secret Cinema. This time it’s about the Guardians of the Galaxy. In keeping with the science fiction film, the makers have recreated two worlds between which we can travel back and forth. There we have to meet the captain of our clan, whom we had to choose in advance from six different groups with different colour schemes, and learn the clan anthem and a dance.

Shortly after our arrival, we get arrested. I had admitted to smuggling organic material when questioned by a guard – Gabi. 😉 So we are put in a prison cell and manage to break out again thanks to raccoon Rocket’s help. Afterwards, we continue to explore the worlds, watch a kind of “scissors, stone, paper” competition, order a mocktail in one of the bars and eat a chicken wrap well filled with a whole skewer of chicken pieces fresh from the grill. Good thing we had checked in advance that there was a small outdoor area for smokers where we could do that, as we are still careful and wear masks indoors.

As always at Secret Cinema events, our mobile phones were packed in bags that could only be opened again at the end. This is to keep the experience as secret as possible. And you should really enjoy it without constantly looking at the screen. But that also means that we have next to no photos. So here are a few official photos that Secret Cinema has published on the internet:

Following the finale, the film is shown, but this time without people acting in parallel. We therefore forego the screening and drive back to the hotel.
