We do some more shopping in the Bluewater shopping centre on our last day in the UK. Gabi has already put together a wish list with beautiful clothes and other things for several shops in here, which she has researched in advance on the internet, or which were already on our shopping list.

After doing the upper floor, we stop for lunch at Wagamama. I was really looking forward to the ramen noodle soup, which is always so good here. I try their new soup with pulled pork, which is absolutely delicious. Gabi likes to order small starters with crispy chicken pieces, gyoza, well seasoned cauliflower and edamame to share. Om nom!

Bearing new energy, we continue on the lower floor. Here, we mainly buy some salty and sweet snacks as souvenirs, but also visit some other shops we like.

We decide against a late afternoon snack and for an early dinner at Giraffe. It’s a pity that they don’t have the Huevos Rancheros on the menu anymore, which I liked so much. I opt for a brisket burger instead (burgers cost only half as much today) and Gabi had been looking forward to a plate of nachos with various sauces for a long time.

Then we get my free birthday milkshake at Ed’s, who just make the best shakes. We then drive to the new hotel, in a little hurry. Fortunately, we have the most efficient check-in experience of all Premier Inns. So we arrive in the room in time and I can even bring up the luggage before my favourite baking show “The Great British Bake-Off” starts. Today is already the semi-final in which another one of the amateur bakers will be sent home again. Afterwards we watch “Celebrity Hunted” (“Hunted” with celebrities – at “Hunted”, a team of investigators tries to find and catch several people who try to away on hidden paths in order not to get caught). After the rest of Crocodile Dundee and some repacking we go to sleep.
