We get up earliert than usual today to order the new iPhone X. At 8.01am local time, Apple’s online store will let you buy it. You need to order really quickly to get one soon. So the whole world will try to simultaneously log in to the store and order one. While I only get the ‘come back soon’ page, Gabi succeeds in logging in and ordering two. 🙂

Around lunch time, we drive back South to Birmingham. Or at least that’s the plan. We soon find ourselves in the biggest traffic jam imaginable. We therefore leave the motorway at the next exit and try to drive around it. Gabi does a great job navigating us through unknown teritory and later even more when the ramp to another motorway South is closed. In the end, it takes us more than four hours for a two hour drive. We finally arrive at the hotel rather exhausted.

We register for the convention and enjoy being reunited with friends and getting to know new people. We have dinner with some of our friends at Pizza Express and then watch Thor Ragnarok in the IMAX cinema. The film is surprisingly funny and entertaining.
