From 12 to 15 February 2026, we spent a fantastic weekend in London, meeting many friends and having a wonderful time. As we were only in Britain for a short time and travelled by plane, we didn’t buy as much as usual. Nevertheless, we still managed to bring back lots of delicious snacks, sweets and treats. Here is the obligatory photo.

Our last day in London has arrived. We pack our bags and leave them at the hotel. Because it’s pouring with rain, we take a taxi to The Wolseley. The former showroom of British car manufacturer Wolseley, which was taken over by Morris in 1927 and ceased its operation in 1975, is now home to an elegant restaurant. Today we’re having breakfast at Pret – and once again with our favourite breakfast items: a warm ham and cheese croissant for me and a cinnamon roll for Gabi. Afterwards, we make our way to Covent Garden to meet Clare, Sheridan and Amy. They are queuing here for roses from BTS, the Korean K-pop band that Clare and Amy are big fans of. We sleep in late and then head over to Gails. We start the day off right with our favourite baked goods: Gabi has a cinnamon roll and I have a blueberry and custard brioche. It’s delicious. The weather is good too – at least it’s not raining. We walk to Forbidden Planet, where there are even more Funko Pop! figures on offer on the ground [Weiterlesen]

London, here we come! We are looking forward to a long weekend in the city that has become a second home to us and seeing our friends from the UK and the USA again. It has been six years since our last flight, and that one was truly awful. So we are all the more delighted that everything is going amazingly well this time. That [Weiterlesen]
