Today, the weather is better. What a relief! We’re driving westbound and will spend two nights in Gloucester on the western edge of the Cotswolds, an especially beautiful area near the border with Wales. We meet Caroline in Guildford for a mid-morning snack. There’s a new branch of our favourite Hummingbird Bakery that needs to be tested. Sitting in a café having a cupcake is also the best you can do as it pours down with rain. Gabi has a red velvet cupcake, Caroline a glazed brownie, and I go for a raspberry cheesecake brownie.
