We go shopping today! We park the car behind Top Shop and work our way down Carnaby Street towards Piccadilly Circus. I’m astonished at how targetet Gabi is. She is well prepared with a shopping list and knows exactly what she wants to buy – or at least look at – in each store.

For example perfumes in our favourite department store Liberty.

I could have bought everything on this display: veggie shaped bowls and cups. Everything in Liberty is so beautiful and it’s great just to have a look around. There’s always new stuff to discover.

For lunch, we try our luck at Flat Iron. So far, we have always encountered a long queue and didn’t want to wait ages to get a table. We’re lucky today though and get a table right away. The menu contains of just a steak and sides. But that’s plenty! We order two steaks with asparagus and chips… and bearnaise sauce. And yes, the food would have been worth waiting for in the queue!

We continue our way with new energy. And we need to move the car. We drive by Piccadilly Circus which looks rather sad. The screens have been turned off in Autumn as they will be replaced by a new huge matrix screen which could do full-screen ads, not limited to different sections like before.

Gabi knows a liquour store that sells a very special gin. We then head back towards Piccadilly Circus where we stop for Crosstown donuts at the wholefood store. 🙂

Afterwards, we stroll up Regent Street towards Oxford Circus and have a look at the newly refurbished Apple Store which looks completely different now. It’s the new concept we saw in the San Francisco store a year ago.

Walking to the Disney Store on Oxford Street and then down Bond Street, we get back to the car. It’s time to move it again. Here, we’re on the road in the direction of Piccadilly Circus and then up Regent Street.

We park behind Selfridges to have dinner at Wagamama. Gabi enjoys several nibble plates while I order a ramen noodle soup.

And because we’re in the area… it would be rude not to visit the Selfridges Food Hall. A long time ago, they had Britain’s very first Krispy Kreme selling point. Which didn’t exist anymore last time we visited – you could get Krispy Kreme donuts everywhere now. Now, they have reinstated the Krispy Kreme stand. You can’t get the regular ones, but about half a dozen special editions that are only sold here. Uuuuuuuh!
