Wednesday, 16 May 2012: A new morning in Key West

We start the day with a swim in the lovely pool, toasted bagels and some delicious home-made banana bread. A leisurely walk down Duval Street leads us to the famous Malory Square. We decide to split up and while Dad goes on a trolley tour of Key West, we do a little shopping (I hit the local Hello Kitty store hard) and generally potter about old town Key West.

By coincidence, we chance upon an amazing food cart I had read about in Trip Advisor called Garbo’s Grill. We enjoy a delicious mango dog (hot dog wrapped in bacon with jalapenos, mango slices and chipotle sauce) and a burger. The food is an absolute knock-out and we walk back to the hotel with very satisfied and full tummies.

On the way, we have loads of fun observing the wild chickens all over the place.
