Saturday, 4 November 2023: Sleepy day

After a very late night yesterday, we need a rest and stay in the hotel. Also, the Regent Street Motor Show, which we had planned to visit today, was unfortunately cancelled at short notice. In recent years, many great classic cars and modern vehicles have been exhibited on the cordoned-off Regent Street between Oxford and Piccadilly Circus.

I grab something from Pret for breakfast and later get some fried chicken and chips for lunch. The food on offer in the Westfield Stratford City shopping centre is huge. Afterwards we take another nap.

In the afternoon, Gabi stays in the hotel room while I want to have a look around the shopping centre. I don’t make it far: I’m mesmerised by the wall of bricks in the Lego store. So I take the opportunity to put together a box full of different bricks very systematically and without boring Gabi. There are now cardboard boxes instead of the plastic tubs, but that makes sense: it’s much easier to pack the square bricks in square boxes than in the round tubs.

For dinner, we have something delicious from Wagamama: a ramen noodle soup for me and a donburi rice dish for Gabi. We share a portion of edamame beans and continue watching Gilmore Girls. After all, it’s autumn and we always watch Gilmore Girls in autumn.
