Mai 2026: Eine \u00fcberraschende F\u00e4hre nach Skye"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Unser erster Stopp ist heute die M&amp;S Food Hall. Hier decken wir uns mit Zmorgen und Zmittag ein. Jetzt fahren wir zum Glennfinnan Viaduct: Um 10:45 Uhr soll dort der Harry Potter Zug durchfahren. Der Parkplatz des Besucherzentrums ist schon sehr voll, und tats\u00e4chlich str\u00f6men viele Leute in Richtung Viadukt. Leider lesen wir aber auf einem Schild: \u00abSteam train canceled\u00bb \u2013 die Zugfahrt wurde abgesagt. J\u00e4nu. Wir spazieren trotzdem zum sch\u00f6nen Viadukt. Hier dr\u00e4ngen sich die Menschen dicht an dicht auf dem H\u00fcgel. Sie haben wohl das Schild nicht gesehen oder glauben an eine Falschinformation. Haupttal und dann ins n\u00e4chste Seitental mit dem Eilan Donan Castle fahren m\u00fcssen. Doch Google Maps und auch das Auto-Navi empfehlen, stattdessen das Seitental zu Ende zu fahren und dann die Strasse dem Meer entlang zu nehmen. Gesagt, getan. Und die K\u00fcste mit ihren schroffen Felsen und den Inseln in der Distanz bieten wirklich eine atemberaubende Aussicht. Die Fahrt f\u00fchrt auch immer wieder der Eisenbahnlinie entlang. \u00abNehmen Sie die F\u00e4hre\u00bb. Welche F\u00e4hre? Oh! Da hat es die Strecke tats\u00e4chlich einfach so geplant, ohne uns etwas davon zu sagen. Einen anderen Weg gibt es nicht. Wir fragen am F\u00e4hrhafen also, wohin das Schiff \u00fcberhaupt f\u00e4hrt, kaufen dann ein Ticket nach Armadale und haben Gl\u00fcck: Die n\u00e4chste F\u00e4hre hat noch Platz und wir k\u00f6nnen sofort an Bord fahren. Wenige Minuten sp\u00e4ter schliesst sich die Zufahrt und wir legen ab. Mit ziemlichem Tempo und einigem Geschaukel steuert die F\u00e4hre die Isle of Sky an. Eine gute halbe Stunde sp\u00e4ter legen wir dort an \u2013 immer noch ziemlich baff vom \u00fcberraschenden Ausflug auf diese Insel, aber um viele Eindr\u00fccke reicher.<\/p>\n<table border=\"0\" Zuerst geht es der K\u00fcste entlang, dann in die H\u00f6he und landeinw\u00e4rts. Spannend, wie sich die Vegetation dabei st\u00e4ndig \u00e4ndert. Schliesslich sind wir auf der anderen Seite der Insel angelangt, die nach Norden noch viel weiter gehen w\u00fcrde, und gelangen \u00fcber die einzige Br\u00fccke wieder aufs Festland. Von hier aus ist es nicht mehr weit zum Eilan Donan Castle. Die Burg wurde auf einer Landzunge errichtet, die bei Flut zur Insel wird und nur \u00fcber eine schmale Br\u00fccke erreichbar ist. Von dieser Burg besteht nur noch eine Ruine, die hoch \u00fcber dem Loch Ness thront. \u00dcber die Zugbr\u00fccke gelangen wir zum Eingangstor, das noch in Teilen erhalten ist. Wir geniessen unser Zvieri, w\u00e4hrend wir vergeblich nach Nessie Ausschau halten. Leider war dieser untere Bereich der einzige, der \u00fcber eine Rollstuhlrampe erreichbar war. Alle Pfade zur restlichen Anlage haben Treppenstufen eingebaut. gibt es hier weder eine Strasse nahe am Wasser, noch Wege von den Parkpl\u00e4tzen dorthin. Es ist fast so, als wollten die Einheimischen verhindern, dass Fremde \u00fcberhaupt zum See gelangen. Es soll wohl niemand das Geheimnis von Nessie entdecken. Gegen 19 Uhr treffen wir im Hotel ein und machen uns eine Stunde sp\u00e4ter wieder auf, um bei McDonald&#8217;s Znacht zu holen \u2013 man muss ja die vermeintlichen Schotten unterst\u00fctzen.
