Today we continue in the footsteps of King Arthur and Avalon, and visit Tintagel. We start early and treat ourselves to a McDonald’s breakfast with a Mighty McMuffin and pancakes while LucY charges its battery. We also have a quick car wash before setting off. Today we explore Glastonbury with Catherine. The place is not only known for what is probably the largest music festival in the world, but also as the mythical Avalon and where King Arthur is buried – a claim that the monks of the abbey used as early as the 12th century to ensure that it became a place of pilgrimage and thus they had enough [Weiterlesen]

The day starts well: with the news that both motions in the Grand Council have been adopted – the one on charging stations in full and the other on disabled parking spaces at least in part. This morning Caroline takes us to Costco, a large department stores with access for members only. We are delighted that our son Jack is also there. He is now almost 16 years old and has grown quite a bit since we last saw him. Jack takes after his father and talks passionately about computers and programming. We start the day well rested. And while I go to the supermarket for drinks and the bakery for something for breakfast, LucY charges in the car park. This gives us an extra 50 miles of range. We’ll take it easy today. Or rather: I still have a few administrative things to do at the hotel. These holidays suddenly came very quickly after a very busy last two weeks. But we are looking forward to spending two weeks in England with lots of friends.
