Today our friend shows us Taunton, the town (Ton) on the River Tone (Taun) in Somerset. We start at the Farmers Market with lots of locally grown fruit and veg, fudge and cider. Our time in London has come to an end for the time being. Today, we’re travelling west to visit our friend and her dog Mickey in Taunton. On the way, we stop at a service station to charge LucY at a Tesla Supercharger. Today we are travelling to Central London again. We didn’t have enough time left for Selfridges department store yesterday. We find a great car park right opposite and start at the top… only to be disappointed. Today we drive from our hotel in Stratford City in the east of London into the city centre. We like the mixture of old and new buildings along our route. I am fascinated by the skyscrapers in Canary Wharf, the business and banking district to the east of central London, named after the Canary Islands, from where merchant ships used to sail here. While LucY charges its battery in the car park, we look around upstairs. There is now an ice rink on the large green space between the tower blocks, where people skate very [Weiterlesen]

After a very late night yesterday, we need a rest and stay in the hotel. Also, the Regent Street Motor Show, which we had planned to visit today, was unfortunately cancelled at short notice. In recent years, many great classic cars and modern vehicles have been exhibited on the cordoned-off Regent Street between Oxford and Piccadilly Circus.
