30 September 2016: Shopping!
There’s more shopping today!! But we don’t just buy, buy, buy but rather stroll around our favourite stores. Liberty of London is always worth a visit. There’s something new to discover each time. Everything is presented beautifully and also carefully chosen. Here are some impressions from Liberty:
We have a late lunch at Masala Zone. The restaurant has been refurbished since our last visit and the interior looks even better. And we still love the Indian food. Both of us order butter chicken, Gabi as a dish with rice, chickpeas and spinach while I have a thali with rice and small bowls with potatoes, lentils and vegetables.
At a shoe store, Gabi tries on ancle boots she had seen in the internet. They are gorgeous but strangely, they are not available in her size 8, only up to 7. It’s a shame!
It only started to get dark as we reach Piccadilly Circus. Gabi looked also at a trench coat which is not available in her size, too. That’s really annoying!
Beautiful staircase at Fortnum & Mason:
Regent Street:
The Swiss bells at Leicester Square. They’re buiding the world’s largest Lego store in the building on the right. It will open in November only, unfortunately.
It starts to rain and all the decent restaurants are fully booked. No, thanks, we won’t wait for two and a half hours. We decide on driving back to the hotel and eat at the hotel’s restaurant.
