We miss the Eurotunnel train we booked after getting in one of the random explosives check, which means waiting for the next one half an hour later. An annoying delay. But then, we’re finally on our train and on our way to France.

After a long journey we arrived back in Bern at half past nine. We covered a total of 2’886 kilometres on our journey. Now we are happy to be home again. Home sweet home!

P.S. I’ll make a mental note never to let Google Maps suggest the route again. The smaller roads may be more direct and faster in theory, but in practice you just don’t make a lot of progress, sometimes with only one lane and nowhere to overtake slow vehicles. And it has almost no rest stops for toilet breaks.
