2 October 2016: Portsmouth

We say hello to Peter and Jack before driving to Portsmouth with Caroline. We’ve been here before (in 2013 and 2014). We park at Gunwharf Quays designer outlet with lots of stores and restaraunts. We take a look at the beach first as it’s very exciting for Swiss who live in a land-locked country.

Caroline knows: There are always some Pokémon to catch around here. And we really catch several new Pokémons throughout the whole day. That’s the right thing to do on a Sunday. 🙂

We have lunch at Wagamama. Gabi orders an Indian curry with rice while I have a ramen noudle soup. Yummy!!

We enjoy the beautiful weather as we stroll along the harbour. There’s a historic dockyard with a ship museum with mighty old ships. We only have time to look at them from the outside but plan to come back in the future.

We continue to shop around Gunwharf Quays. At the Lindt store, I just have to buy some Lindor balls. I still find it difficult to understand why the Swiss label sells a wider variety of chocolate goods here than in Switzerland.

We have a drink and cake at Prét-à-manger before heading back to Aldershot. But first, we drive along the shore which looks magnificent in the sunset.

It’s late as we drop Caroline off at her house and get back to the hotel. We fall asleep after after a quick chicken wrap from Nando’s.
